The Short Version

We collect your email and profile so the match is yours across devices. We don't sell your data. Ever. You can view, export, or delete everything with one click.

What We Collect

Account Information

  • Email address — For authentication and check-ins
  • Profile data — Your constraints, preferences, and goals from the quiz
  • Practice history — What you've tried and how it went

Binne Memories

When you use Binne chat, it can remember things about you to provide better guidance. These memories include:

  • Insights about what works for you
  • Your practice progress and patterns
  • Topics you've discussed

You can view and delete your Binne memories at any time from your profile settings.

Sensitive Answers & Conversations

  • Sensitive topics — If you share mental-health considerations, your relationship to psychedelics, or free-text notes in the quiz, we store your answers so we can personalize and safely filter your matches. We never sell them or use them for advertising.
  • Chat conversations — When you're signed in, your Binne chat is saved to your account so you can pick up where you left off. You can delete it anytime, and anonymous chats are never saved to our servers.
  • Quiz answers — We keep your quiz answers so we can show your saved results and the reasoning behind them when you return. Delete your results and they're gone.
  • We don't store your IP address in your account or use it to profile you across other websites.

Anonymous Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate usage and performance—things like which pages are popular or slow. They're privacy-friendly, don't use cookies, and don't identify you. We also compute anonymized, aggregate stats to improve our recommendations, like "what percentage of users prefer morning practice." None of this can be linked back to you.

How We Use Your Email

  • Send magic link for sign-in — No passwords to remember
  • Send your results link — After you complete the quiz
  • One follow-up email — 2 weeks later, asking how it's going
  • That's it — No marketing emails, no newsletters unless you explicitly sign up

View Your Data

Your dashboard and profile settings show everything we store: your profile, practice history, and Binne's memories about you.

Edit Your Data

You can update your profile anytime. You can also view and delete individual Binne memories.

Delete Everything

One click removes your account and all associated data. This cannot be undone.

Export Your Data

Download your complete profile and practice history as JSON.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase for our database, which is SOC 2 Type II compliant. Sessions are managed with secure HTTP-only cookies.

Third Parties

We use the following services to operate Binne:

  • Clerk — Authentication and sign-in
  • Vercel — Hosting
  • Supabase — Database
  • Resend — Email delivery
  • Anthropic (Claude) — Powers Binne chat and the quiz reading. Your messages are sent to their API to generate responses. If you're signed in, your conversation is also saved to your Binne account so you can return to it (you can delete it anytime).
  • Braintrust — Quality evaluation. Chat conversations (your messages and Binne's replies, including the context Binne was given) are logged there so we can measure and improve response quality. The logs are never tied to your account, and identifiers like email addresses and phone numbers are removed before anything is sent.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone else.

Cookies

We use:

  • Session cookie — A secure, HTTP-only cookie to keep you signed in
  • Locale cookie — To remember your language preference
  • localStorage — To remember if you've already saved results on this device
  • Attribution ID — A first-party cookie (immanence_anon_id), kept up to a year, so that if you sign up we can tell which page first brought you here. It isn't sold or shared and isn't used to track you across other websites.

We don't use third-party advertising cookies, and we never sell cookie data.

Children

Binne is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll note it here with an updated date. We won't retroactively reduce your privacy protections.
